Mark your calendars for Monday, May 19, 2025, and get ready for a day on the greens with purpose at the 3rd Annual Aces Fore Austin Charity Golf Tournament.

Hosted at the RTJ Grand National Lakes Course in Opelika, Alabama, this event is more than just another golf scramble; it's an opportunity to come together for a cause and a legacy that matters deeply to so many—supporting families affected by rare diseases.
This year's tournament is set to make a larger impact by raising funds for rare disease projects at three leading institutions: Children's Hospital of Alabama, UAB’s Undiagnosed Disease Program, and Oregon Health Science University Foundation’s UBA5 drug repurposing research program. Together, we can help drive innovation and hope for those who need it most.
Your support helps the 1 in 10 Americans who live with a rare disease and the over 400,000 Alabamians who are affected. That is nearly 8.5% of the total population in Alabama. Your support matters and makes a difference!

Ways to Get Involved
Whether you’re a seasoned golfer, a local business, or someone passionate about making a difference, there’s a way for you to be part of this event:
1. Enter as a Golfer or Team
Picture yourself on one of Alabama’s most beautiful courses, surrounded by natural beauty. Gather your friends, family, or colleagues and register as a team, or sign up as an individual golfer to be paired with fellow participants. Not only will you enjoy a day of golf, but you’ll also be helping fund critical research and support for families affected by rare diseases.
2. Become a Sponsor
Local businesses and organizations have an opportunity to leave their mark by sponsoring the event. Sponsorship levels vary, so there’s an option to suit everyone. As a sponsor, you’ll not only help amplify our impact but also gain meaningful recognition within the community. Your partnership demonstrates your commitment to improving lives and fostering hope.
3. Make a Donation
If you’re unable to attend the event, you can still contribute to its success. Consider donating raffle items or silent auction prizes—anything from sports memorabilia and gift baskets to vacation packages. Additionally, monetary donations of any size are welcome and go directly toward supporting groundbreaking research and programs that bring hope to families navigating rare disease challenges.
Why Your Support Matters
Rare diseases affect more people than most realize, yet research funding and resources are often limited as over 90% do not have FDA approved treatments. Families facing these challenges endure not only medical uncertainties but also emotional and financial stress. By participating in Aces Fore Austin, you’re helping to fund critical projects like:
Children’s Hospital of Alabama: Providing specialized care and support for children battling rare diseases.
UAB’s Undiagnosed Disease Program: A lifeline for families seeking answers when traditional diagnoses fall short.
Oregon Health Science University Foundation’s UBA5 Drug Repurposing Research: Driving cutting-edge advancements in rare disease treatments.

Together, we can create a ripple effect of change, providing hope and a brighter future for families across Alabama and beyond.
